Great Sunday at the Source! Forrest Gump hits the big screen, Jason Fraley croons along with his guitar, and Jesus demonstrates the proper way to check out of this place! If you missed it, here's an update from yesterday...
Service:
We looked at what were, arguably, Jesus' most famous words from the cross, "My God, My God, why have you abandoned me?" What did it cost Christ personally, besides the agony of a painful death, to accept the punishment for all the evil mankind has ever come up with? And, just as importantly, how is it applicable to us? We also considered how Jesus chose to exit this world. Christ not only taught us how to live, He also gave us a great example of how to die.
Shout Out:
Kudos to Jason Fraley Jr. for his awesome guitar rendition of "Mystery of Mercy" by Caedmon's Call. Perfect song for the morning and he executed it with perfection!
Creepy Moment of the Morning:
How many teeth do those baby seals have in their heads! The skull looked like a land shark! I'm going to have nightmares for weeks involving vicious yet cuddly animals.
We also examined how Jesus chose to leave this world. Christ has not only learned to live, he also gave us a good example of how to die.
